Science Communication in a Post-Truth Era - November 21st – 22nd in Helsinki
First Day: Tieteiden talo, Kirkkokatu 6, 00170 Helsinki
Second Day: Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitos, Mannerheimintie 166, 00300 Helsinki
The two-day autumn seminar of the Finnish Society for Nutrition Research (SRY) and the Society for Social Medicine in Finland (SLY) with the theme "Science Communication in the Post-Truth Era" brings together experts in nutrition science and social medicine to discuss the challenges of science and health communication in a time when misinformation and opinion-based communication spread rapidly. The two-day seminar will address the multi-channel nature of communication, reaching different audiences, and ensuring equal access to reliable information for all population groups. We will hear presentations on science communication from both researchers and communication experts, as well as a panel discussion by experienced science communicators on overcoming the challenges of modern science communication.
